Back to the stage and the skies

We are back on the stage! We kicked off the summer with two shows already, and there’s more to come!

Big shout out to Paul Antonio for hooking us up with our first post-pandemic gig on Memorial Day. We graced the skies at Yolickity Henrietta as Slyboots provided African drumming and dance, and acrobatics, on the ground, and Paul himself treated the crowd to some music. It was a festive afternoon with blue, although windy, skies, and plenty of delicious fro-yo.

Led by Hannah and Jenn, our Advanced Silks class rose to the task of putting on our second show of the season at the Lancaster Taste the Art of Music festival. Thee town of Lancaster was treated to a full slate of silks, aerial hoop, and trapeze performances as a part of the town’s festivities which also included live music and lots of craft vending. As the breeze fluttered, B.A.D. aerialists stopped many Lancastarians in their tracks as the moved through the festival.

We will be joining forces with Slyboots again for a series of performances at The Heron Farm and Event Center in Sherman, NY during the week of June 25 to July 3, check out more details here.

We will also be participating in a Pride Fest event at Thin Man Brewery on Chandler Street. There will be tons of local favorites providing entertainment throughout the day, so mark your calendars for July 24.

And we are debuting some new shows at local ice cream shops. We wanted to channel some retro circus vibes and stir up some excitement after the year of hibernation that we’ve all endured. We decided on two shops that are picture perfect locations for a little circus magic. Catch us at Cookies and Cream in South Buffalo on Friday July 9) and at Sweet Jenny’s in Williamsville on Thursday July 22 (raindate of Friday July 23).

And finally, we are joining Buffalo’s artists and weirdos to bring some aerial performance to the Buffalo Infringement Festival. Our show will be held at Duende Silo City on Friday July 30 and will be outer space themed. We really like outer space**
