July 6 – Street Festival – Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls USA

The summer street fairs continue and thank goodness because we wouldn’t want summer without them!  Old Falls Street always makes sure that locals and tourists alike have a great time all summer — there’s live music, food vendors, face painting, games, public art and scenery, and of course, your favorite aerial artists flying high above it all. We can’t wait to help bring a little extra flair to this fun-filled weekend at the Falls!  This is a great event to attend with a friend, with kids, or even by yourself if you’re looking for a place to explore for the day.  The festivities are a quick and easy walk from the falls, so you can enjoy both.

July 5 – Old Man River, Tonawanda, NY

Old Man River, everyone’s favorite nautical-themed restaurant, sits right at the end of Franklin Street in Tonawanda.  From the street, you can see the Niagara River, and also, on a certain day, the Town of Tonawanda’s fireworks display.  This year, that day is Friday July 5th, and not only could you see fireworks, you could also catch an amazing aerial show and a live music by Will Holton. We busted out our best red, white, and blues, shut down Franklin Street, and rocked the skies to a great crowd at Old Man River.

June 22 – Estival Festival – Sugar Hill Campground, Caneadea, NY

We were back for our third year at Estival as a part of the Slyboots circus troupe!  You know what that means — stiltwalkers, music and drummers, African dance, acrobatics, juggling, fire performers, and aerialists.  The Slyboots festival show is like no other: we start with a musical ensemble inside the circus tent, then we are joined by stilt walkers, puppeteers, fan twirlers, acrobats and jugglers as the parade winds around the aerial rig (where we perform) and then down to the main stage where the show continues. Estival Festival and Sugar Hill campground are both beautiful and welcoming places with the peacefulness of nature and the excitement of a festival all wrapped into one.  This is also a family-friendly festival and there’s tons of kids’ activities, and the kiddos love our circus show. We enjoy entertaining them every year.   Here’s a video of the Slyboots Parade and our aerial performance as a part of it: Video Credit — Torin

June 21 – Guest with Glam Vamps – Duende Silo City, Buffalo, NY

B.A.D. Coaches and students guest starred in this Carnival-themed Pride event! We were fortunate for this chance to team up with The Glam Vamps who are absolutely incredible performers, embracing the art and the comedy of burlesque (they are hilarious!). And as usual, they brought their A game for this annual celebration of all things queer.  Other local circus artists and beautiful weirdos of all kinds made their appearance at this event as well.  It was truly impossible to have a bad time at this fun-filled Queer Carnival.

June 8 – East Aurora Music Festival – East Aurora, NY

The East Aurora Music Festival was the place to be on June 8th! We set up our circus show right next to the main stage where bands like The Brass Machine, The Strictly Hip, Workingman’s Dead, and Lowest of the Low were rocking out. The energy was amazing and we had such a great time flying high above the Healthy Zone rink on Aerial Hoop, Silks, and Trapeze. It was a special treat to perform with favorite local band Grosh and flying in the air during the festival-wide sing along to Hey Jude.  These tiedye costumes are some of our favorite for performing at festivals and with live music.   Videos of the duo lyra from the

I Hope You Are Fed – July 18-19 – Fern Collective

What does it mean to be present in an ever-changing world? Fern Collective welcomes you into an aerial world of their own devising, full of beautiful, dangerous, generous, and tangled messes. Using acrobatics and aerial creation, I Hope You Are Fed is about exploring individuality and connection to a whole, what propels us forwards and keeps us moving together. I Hope You Are Fed will have you feeling, thinking, and questioning long after you leave us. Fern Collective is a group of five multidisciplinary circus artists who have grown up together through circus. Fern Collective was birthed from Circus Culture in Ithaca NY, and is supported by Circus Culture founder Amy Cohen. Our work and play evolved through our 7 years of being in community together, through creation of shows and performances, and a plethora of learning and teaching. At our collective core is the desire to share the joy of creation, to be honest, to ask questions, to take care of each other, and to explore and express our existence through circus. show duration: 45 minutes Start time 7:00, Doors 6:30 Sliding scale

May 25 – Memorial Weekend – Old Falls St, Niagara Falls, USA

This year, we kicked off our outdoor performance season with Old Falls Street where we were flying high for their Memorial Day event.  Old Falls Street events are the best days.  They always have music, vendors, face painters, and games and we bring the aerial acrobatics!  This lovely cobblestone street in the City of Niagara Falls is closed to traffic and makes the perfect location for weekend street fairs.  We will be back again soon!

March 9 – Lock City Circus, Kenan Center Arena, Lockport, NY

Just like it’s been happening for decades, the Lock City Circus is back this year.  March 9 at the Kenan Center Arena is the date for all of the tricks and treats that you love — clowns, jugglers, acrobats, candy, pizza, snacks, and games! This year we featured our youth performers at the circus.  They have been working so hard all year and this event is really all about the kids.  It was fun to see them shine!

February 17 – Silk Pajamas 2024 – The Saturn Club, Buffalo, NY

This year, we were part of an unforgettable Valentine’s event by Lavish Designer at The Saturn Club.  The theme was “lush in silk” and it featured aerial performances on silks and sling as well as special cocktails, a gourmet dinner, and an open dance floor.  All of the elements of this special event came together perfectly as a treat for couples celebrating the most romantic day of the year.   Here are some videos from the event: Facebook video 1 Facebook video

February 1 – Circus Spectacular – Mercyhurst Academy, Erie, PA

Buffalo Circus has grown so much in the last 10 years.  This February, a group of us, who have been unofficially practicing together for nearly a decade officially joined forces to take a circus show down to Erie, PA.  We entertained the students of Mercyhurst academy with some circus shenanigans including stilt walkers, jugglers, unicyclers, aerialists, acrobats, and fire performers. We really did run away with the circus!
