We helped one of our favorite local breweries ring in 5 years of success in Buffalo’s booming brewery business.  Their name says it all: this is a celebration of the resurgence of local business in the Queen City. Each year, the East Aurora Music Festival provides the perfect opportunity to get out of the city, celebrate the start to summer, and enjoy great live entertainment.  2019’s EAMF delivered all the energy of a boisterous festival mixed with the homespun charm of East Aurora. We performed in front of our favorite backdrop – wide open blue skies, but they definitely came with a side of wind.  Although it does make for some nice dramatic imagery, silks in the wind are notoriously difficult to dance on.  The trapeze artists had no problem hitting full stride though!    

Spring isn’t the only thing in the air! Our students twirled and soared in our semi-annual student showcase! We have so much talent we couldn’t pack it all into one evening, so we hosted shows on both Friday and Saturday. Each show featured unique acts from a variety of aerialists including our performance team, our fabulous students, and our youth programs, displaying feats of skill and grace.   Photos coming

Black Explosion was a unique fashion show, performance, and cultural celebration presented by UB’s Black Student Union.  The event was elaborate, upscale, and entirely student run!  Set in the future, each segment of the program was inspired by new takes on the classic elemental theme: swamp, ice, fire, and desert.  B.A.D. collaborated with a longtime Buffalo acrobat and dancer, Shanika Williams, to present a fire themed set on aerial silk and

Whoever said California knows how to party must not’ve been friends with Buffalo’s drag queens.  Their parties put anyone else’s to shame!  Again in 2019, the ICP Masqerade Ball gathered Buffalo’s finest and funnest entertainers and your favorite aerialists dangling from the ceiling.  This year’s decor displayed the theme fire and ice, and both elements lend themselves well to glittery saturation, feathers and drama.  The costumes, drag show, and crowning of the new imperial court always shine like stars!  Hamlin house is rich with historic charm, and the event makes great use of the venue’s delicious food and beverage

This was the 4th year and counting that we’ve come to dangle from the fantastic ceilings of Buffalo’s most elaborate Halloween party, the Witches Ball.  Statler City is both gorgeous and (obviously) haunted, the perfect site to transform in to a spooky, surreal party for the night of all hallows.  This year’s event celebrated  The Legends of Rock and Roll, and our performers glammed it up to the sounds of ACDC, Lenny Kravitz, and Santana.  The crowd went wild! Since 2008, Music is Art has been a free event highlighting artistic talents from within our community.  For the past 2 years, the festival has been hosted at Riverworks Park. The multi-sensory festival draws over 20,000 people and is part concert, part bazaar, street fair and art gallery. Buffalo Aerial Dance took a page from the old-school circus playbook, with colorful costumes and hair, in keeping with the other local circus weirdos of the 716 sideshow who performed alongside us.  And we loved the fabulous shark mouth mural behind us adding some drama to the show!
