5:30-7:00 Fabric Dance/Choreography: In this class, students learn combinations/sequences on the ground and in the fabric. Some new skills are taught within the sequencing, but the main focus is on quality of movement, transitioning, and musicality. The workshop includes a warm-up/stretch, skill building, short sequence/combination, and cool down. This workshop is meant for intermediate/advanced level students (i.e. able to invert in the air multiple times without trouble throughout a class period.)
7:30-9:00 – Aerial Sling Sequencing Workshop In this workshop we will learn some fun skills and sequences in aerial sling/hammock. We will begin the class with a thorough warm-up getting the muscles ready for aerial work. Then we will learn individual skills that will link up to a fun sequence at the end. We will focus on fluidity and transitions within the sequence. At the end of the workshop there will be a chance to flow it with music. We will complete the class with a brief cool down and stretch.
