June 25 – July 3 Slyboots Circus at The Heron Farm and Event Center, Sherman, NY

We joined forces with Slyboots once again for a series of performances at The Heron Farm and Event Center in Sherman, NY as a part of the Little Blue Heron festival.  Slyboots circus brought the beat with West African drum and dance and got the party started with international acrobatic talents.   Stilt-walkers, fire dancers and jugglers contributed to the festivities both inside and out of the circus tent. The Heron Farm has beautiful scenery, and the festival brings talented musicians from all around the area to the stage.

This weekend was magical and lovely — despite — or perhaps because of some wild weather patterns.  Incredibly heavy rainfall over a few nights left everything soggy and muddy, but everyone was looking out for each other, helping to keep friends dry and warm.  When the sun finally came out again, it brought with it a lot of humidity and some gusty winds, both very challenging conditions for silks performance.  But luckily the vibe of this event is just to relax and go with it, so that’s what we did.   Here’s a little video of what that looks like:
